The 2025 ALS Shoot For The Cure brought together Vancouver Firefighters and the wider community in support of an incredibly meaningful cause. With more than 300 participants, this year’s event was the largest since its inception. Thanks to the Vancouver Gun Club, participants tested their aim at multiple stations, taking on the challenge of hitting sporting clays launched in a variety of directions.
VFC volunteers were out in force selling 50/50 tickets, cooking up burgers and ensuring that all participants had a good time. Thanks to our amazing sponsors there were several amazing prizes to be won, with several participants going home with new hunting gear, fishing supplies and outdoor apparel.
This year, with some help from the Vancouver Fire Department Hockey Club, $45,000 was raised for the ALS Society Of BC. Donald Miyazaki, Executive Director of the ALSBC, says this donation will “help so many people affected by ALS in BC and the Yukon, primarily helping increase their quality of life while they fight the disease.”
The VFC is proud to support the important work being done by the ALS Society Of BC. Click here to learn more about the ALS Shoot For A Cure.
